- Idea: how about a suspension footbridge to bypass?
- The collaborative effort was led by Todd Richardson and included Albert Putnam (engineer). feel guided by many decisions (a deliberate amount of ‘sway’ was built, to keep a sense of the passage).
- Hemp rope ended up being the most stable, re-stretch. bark-on white cedar posts were hollowed to conceal steel posts and structure.
The Results
The bridge now avoids disturbing the delicate forest floor below.
