Camp Icehouse

Functioning icehouse, new construction, to provide ice and refrigeration for fishing camp. turn of the century feel, classic. Ice is harvested from the lake, in winter.

Board formed and distressed concrete foundation, hemlock floor over crushed stone to drain. Wall timbers are salvaged hand hewn hemlock, dovetail corners. roof is bark-on eastern whiite cedar logs. Planted roof (natural insulation) is naturalized species.
